Hello!
Hi, I’m Mia Kasahara! A filmmaker based between Los Angeles and Atlanta, originally from the Bay Area. I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude (4.0 GPA) from the Savannah College of Art & Design, where I earned my BFA in Film & Television with a minor in Sound Editing.
I’ve worked across a wide range of positions and stages in the filmmaking process, which has given me a strong foundation and a flexible, collaborative approach on set.
I’m always excited to connect with fellow creatives, share ideas, and bring stories to life!
My Story
For as long as I could remember, stories were my life. Whether they were mine or others, I loved living in them. Growing up in a complex household where I had a sibling with Autism, and having a unique background being adopted from China but growing up with a Japanese-American father, my background helped me be curious, adventurous, and open to new things. Which is exactly the feelings I want to leave my audiences with within my stories. I also hope to give a voice to others that never had a chance to tell their stories, just as I at one time didn't have that chance.
